November 27, 2012 - Masterclass/Workshop - It is generally accepted that PE is a disruptive technology which will enable next-generation ICT, energy, healthcare, entertainment and advertising industry solutions to meet large end user markets demand in the future. This makes printing of conductive materials for printed electronics applications an area of great economical potential and fast technical progress.

Today, most of the printed electronics are based on silver based inks. The high price of silver is a bottleneck for the breakthrough of several applications. Within the European funded CLIP-project, research institutes, SME's and SME Associations are working together to develop low cost inks based on copper for use in optimized high volume low cost printing technologies (screen, flexo) and digital non contact printing technologies (inkjet and aerosol jet printing).

In this first event on Conductive Printing, we give an overview on the state-of-the-art and new developments in the field of conductive ink development, printing technology and applications.

The first Symposium on Printed Electronics, challenges and opportunities will take place on the 27th of November 2012 in Brussels, Belgium.  After attending this Symposium, printers, designers and ordering customers will have a better idea of what is Printed Electronics; where to apply it; what is possible now and in the near future, where to get available materials and how to adapt existing technology, or invest in specific technologies.

General theme of this Symposium will be an introduction to the emerging markets and applications of Printed Electronics as interactive packaging, wearable and stretchable electronics on textile and medical patches, the internet of things (sensors, memories and printable RFID), interactive cards and toys.

sportwear2012slide The Sportswear, Fashion T-shirt conference of the 3rd February 2012 has been adjourned.

To make the program more attractive and complete we have decided that we might hold the conference next autumn. There will be workshops to inform you on the latest market technologies. With longer, more in dept presentations, we are confident to offer you the best knowledge event within the industry. We therefore continue to investigate into specialist content.
