On 9 June 2026, ESMA successfully hosted its annual Networking Day in Raamsdonksveer, Netherlands, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and experts from across Europe. This year’s event was held in partnership with Lotus Holland and Sport PrintLab.
The day began with a series of engaging presentations. Prof. Troy Nachtigall from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences explored the transformative potential of the EU’s Digital Product Passport, emphasising how it can drive compliance while unlocking new opportunities for businesses in the printing industry.
Prof. Wim Deferme of Hasselt University captivated the audience by demonstrating the innovative applications of screen printing in healthcare, particularly its role in developing printed sensors for smart wound monitoring. John Dorland from Grafilox then shared insights into sustainable practices in flexography, showcasing Grafilox’s pioneering approach to eco-friendly cleaning methods.
Following the presentations, participants enjoyed a networking lunch, fostering connections among attendees from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The afternoon featured a site tour, where attendees witnessed the screen printing workflow in action and even had the opportunity to print their own souvenir t-shirt.
