agfa-award-2014Belgian Federation for the Chemical Industry and Life Sciences rewards Agfa Graphics.
Agfa Graphics is proud to announce that its low-migration inkjet inks have been selected as the winner of the “essenscia Innovation Award 2014". The prestigious award was handed out by her Majesty Princess Astrid from Belgium in the Paleis van Academiën in Brussels. Agfa's inks have been recognized for their innovative strength and contribution to durable and sustainable packaging of food and beverages. This innovative work on low migration inks is a fine example of Agfa's successful strategy to grow further in new business domains such as industrial inkjet and healthcare IT.

"We made a selection based on originality, added value to the Belgian economy, IP protection and sustainable development", said François Cornélis, President of the essenscia Innovation Award jury.

Agfa's low-migration (LM) UV-curable inkjet inks are designed primarily for printing directly on food packaging and on labels, blister foils, lids etc. for food and pharma packaging applications. These low-migration inks are based on specific chemical formulations, compliant with European guidelines on food package printing. They are able to deliver durable solutions and can be customized for specific packaging materials.

"As an innovator in the development of industrial UV inkjet, Agfa defines the most practical and efficient methods available for package printing", said Marc Graindourze, Business Development Manager Industrial Inkjet Inks. "Agfa has worked closely with end users, print head manufacturers and packaging industry experts to launch the low-migration inks.”

Agfa Graphics takes a prominent position in the new segments of industrial inkjet. Agfa Graphics designs, develops and manufactures high-performance inkjet inks and fluids for wide-format sign & display printing and for various forms of industrial inkjet printing applications.

Agfa's research and manufacturing center, located at their Mortsel (Belgium) headquarters, builds on Agfa's extensive knowledge and expertise in chemistry, color management and dispersion technology for the development and production of premium-quality inkjet inks.
Furthermore, Agfa offers a fully integrated B2B customer approach for developing custommade inks, fine-tuned to accommodate specific inkjet applications.

Dear ESMA member,

drupa-logo-2016ESMA booked already again 4 island of around 100 sqm (total  of minimal + 400 sqm).
I still can request more! Location is still the same as last time, however we could get a special place for Functional and Industrial printing!

ESMA is probably going to be again associated partner for Functional and maybe Industrial printing

When: 31/5 till 10/6 (11 days, one weekend included)

Price per sqm 335€  (minimal 12 sqm)
Pavilion Participation fee: 1500 euro (max. depending on number of participants)

Priority is given to all members participating last time on drupa 2012.

Stand building will be organized with either concept per island or per participant!

One island will be used for lounge bookings of smaller members.

This will be organized if a different way but we make sure they can be included in the catalogue!

There will be 2 options for a package deal:

Normal lounge member: (price TBC  2995 euro)

  • Can have his company name on the Lounge wall
  • Can have a brochure holder
  • Can used the catering of the ESMA pavilion with the tickets
  • Can use the lounge area

Advanced lounge member: (price TBC: 4495 euro)

  • Similar as above
  • Plus dedicated area and table and chairs
  • One glass cabinet or info desk
  • Use of meeting room on the pavilion (when available)
  • Location probably near the aisle

Das praxisorientierte Seminar ist zweitägig und wird gemeinsam von Marabu- und KIWO-Fachleuten präsentiert. Es findet abwechselnd in den Schulungsräumen bei KIWO in Wiesloch oder bei Marabu in Tamm statt.

  • UV-Siebdruckfarben im Vergleich zu Lösemittelfarben
