Marcel Grünig CEO of Grünig with Andreas Ferndriger, CEO of SignTronic.
What has grown over more than a decade is now official: Two long-time ESMA members, Grünig-Interscreen AG (Schwarzenburg) and SignTronic AG (Rüthi) have retroactively merged as of January 1, 2025. From now on, the two companies operate under the joint name Grünig-SignTronic AG.
This merger brings together two Swiss technology leaders in screen making process and creates a globally leading provider of fully automated and digitally integrated system solutions – covering the entire screen-making process from stretching and coating to exposing, washing, and de-coating.
With over 55 years of mechanical screen-making expertise and cutting-edge digital imaging technologies, Grünig-SignTronic AG sets new standards in efficiency, precision, and workflow standardization.
“This is more than a merger – it’s a clear commitment to the future of our industry”, said Marcel Grünig, CEO, Grünig-SignTronic AG.
Both production sites – Schwarzenburg and Rüthi – will remain operational. The organisational and visual transition will be completed gradually by the end of 2025.
Customers benefit from: trusted contacts and continued services; seamless and well-integrated workflows; long-term support for existing systems; modular and scalable solutions; global support and close partnerships.
This merger unites not only product lines, but two mindsets, two teams – and one shared vision: To make industrial screen-making smarter, faster, and more sustainable.
