Among other things, this means that ESMA member companies commit to ensuring that the health & safety information they supply by way of product labelling and safety data sheets is accurate and up to date*, in accordance with applicable legislation including the REACH and CLP Regulations.
Furthermore, ESMA member companies strive to limit exposure to hazardous chemicals and commit to using the least hazardous chemicals in their products when technically possible. At the request of the ESMA Membership, ESMA has designed an Approval Scheme, accompanied by a logo to support the values of the membership and to allow the membership to demonstrate their commitment to quality and health, safety and environmental protection to their customers.
