TheIJC 2020 opens the call for papers

TheIJC 2020 Call for Papers

Established in 2014, The Inkjet Conference (TheIJC) has become the meeting point of the inkjet industry. A technical and educational event, TheIJC encompasses all aspects of inkjet printing. From inkjet ink chemistry and fundamental research through to colour science and application related knowhow. Recognised for its high quality technical presentations from both industry and academic research, TheIJC attracts over 500 people from the world's leading companies and research institutes. We invite all companies involved in the development of inkjet technology to submit papers for TheIJC 2020, scheduled for 27-28 October 2020 at Crowne Plaza Düsseldorf/Neuss, Germany.

Plenary sessions and three tracks

Two plenary sessions, three tracks and round table discussions offer 30 hours of inkjet talks. The technologies that are brought together and the diversity of the audience present an opportunity for all involved in:

  • software imaging
  • image inspection
  • software interface and control
  • electronics
  • mechatronics and robotics
  • printhead technology
  • ink components and chemistry
  • laboratory equipment
  • inkjet applications

Academic papers

TheIJC stimulates close cooperation and aims to develop relationships between research and industry. The renowned Scientific Board represents some of the leading universities and research groups and supports presentations on any aspect of inkjet technology or applications. Of particular interest are:

  • dissemination of knowledge of fluid behaviour in high frequency, low volume applications and studies of printhead-fluid interaction
  • biomedial applications; any study involving the jetting of live cells
  • pharmaceutical applications
  • 3D printing
  • printed electronics

We invite papers especially on the following topics

  • inkjet release between support structure
  • process
  • photopolymers
  • high speed sintering
  • jettible binders
  • scaffold structures
  • application related topics (e.g. dental)

  • testing methodology

  • models for training applications
  • body-on-a-chip testing
  • organ-on-a-chip
  • pharmaceutical testing
  • cosmetics testing
  • prototype
  • production
  • design
  • examples of items that cannot be manufactured in any other way
  • testing and laboratory equipment

  • banned and prohibited substances in food packaging
  • solvent regulations
  • health and safety

  • inkjet's environmental impact
  • how green is my industry?
  • disposability
  • circular economy
