Since 2021, ESMA and the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research (DITF) organise courses about digital printing on textiles. Now for the first time we lay particular focus on the critical aspect of sustainability. The course curriculum includes considerations on energy and water consumption, selection of inks, recycling, circular economy examples, material flow cost accounting models, multicriteria analysis and an overview of newest life cycle assessment tools. During other sessions independent researchers and industry experts introduce printing processes, textile chemistry and pre-treatment, ink formulation, curing techniques, colour management, printing quality and characterisation of textile substrates.
The course is open to everyone who wants to learn about the technology behind digital textile printing and specific application requirements. We welcome printers, print service providers, print system OEMs, textile manufacturers, suppliers, developers, chemists and all those impacted by the shift to digital. The participants will be able to decide if and to what extent inkjet printing technologies can be applied in their own production processes. All information is presented in a neutral fashion and no prior knowledge is required to attend.
You can now register for the online session on 7-9 March 2023 via https://esma.com/academy-tex/
