ESMA has reacted to member requests for support with two specific areas of concern

It is now a legal requirement to submit information to 'Poison Centres' on hazardous mixtures placed on the market in the European Union. Different timeframes apply. Most ESMA printing ink members are producing inks for industrial use and can benefit from reduced requirements and transitional timescales. ESMA has produced this statement to clarify the position.

Regulation (EU) 2019/1148 on the marketing and use of explosives precursors impacts ESMA members. ESMA has produced this statement to clarify the position for sulphuric acid, which falls into scope of the regulation.

More details can be found in the files enclosed nearby, from ESMA’s Health, Safety & Environmental Protection Committee.
